Covers ages: 2˝ - 6
Offered September 2011 through June 2012
Tuesdays 2:30pm - 9:00pm

 

Montessori Program II - Elementary Teacher Education (offered every other year)
Covers ages: 6-12
Offered September 2011 through June 2012
Saturdays 8:30am - 5:00pm

Instructors

Madeleine J. Justus, Gulsevin Kayihan, Crystal Jones, Laura Possinger, and Sylvie Giral along with other qualified Montessori teachers, all having many years of experience. Madeleine J. Justus has been training Montessori teachers for 57 years; currently she is an advisor.


Admission

Interested student teachers may observe in the children’s classrooms, the teacher education lecture room and the teacher education classroom (by appointment) then discuss their observations with the administration. If qualified, student teachers are admitted to the program after consultation with the director and in order of applications received.

Location

Classes are held at Spring Valley Montessori School, located about 30 miles south of  Seattle and 8 miles north of Tacoma on Pacific Highway South. The school is easily accessible via Highway 99, I-5, and Highway 18 Directions / Map
